KEY FIRM MEMBERS
ROBERT JOHN EVELYN - PRINCIPAL
Having grown up in the West Indies and then moving to the Middle East, Robert has developed an acute appreciation for an architecture’s vernacular response to climate. “Its important that we embrace the fantastic climate with which we are afforded in Florida and the Caribbean and our architecture should always be reflective of that.” After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, Mr. Evelyn worked for four years at the award winning firm Overland Partners specializing in residential, educational and religious facilities. “Asking the right questions and listening to the client is the key first step in our process. We need to understand who the client is and what their goals, needs, and motivations are.” He has been practicing in Miami now for the last ten years, most recently on such projects as 1550 Brickell, Axis and Lincoln East on Miami Beach. With a focus on allowing the site and program to solve many of the design questions, he seeks to create architecture that provides powerful, engaging, contemplative spaces. “There is always an opportunity, regardless of project size or budget, for architecture to delight, to awaken the dormant senses and to enrich a life quality.” PETER THOMAS - PRINCIPAL
Mr. Thomas has over 45 years of Architectural planning, design and management experience for a wide range of private and public projects. He has been involved in numerous award-winning projects throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean including St. Thomas, St.Kitts and Honduras. Much of the last 25 years of his time here in Miami has been spent as an integral part of the design and development of both residential and commercial projects on Brickell Key Island for Swire Properties. With many other recent projects on Miami Beach and the mainland, Peter has become a renowned local architect with a reputation for providing insightful advice to clients and helping to develop solutions to complex project conflicts that ultimately help save clients time and money. A graduate from MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning, Peter’s design approach has never been built on a pre-determined aesthetic or a rigid "signature style." His solutions emerge naturally from a quest for ideas and answers. They evolve from a rigorous inquiry into the particulars of site, context and program. It is through this process that one will arrive at an architecture that is both timeless and of its time. |
LEILA MULTIDOR - PROJECT MANAGER
Ms. Multidor has become an instrumental asset to the design development and coordination of projects at the firm. She continues to provide her services to a number of projects in Haiti in the aftermath of its 2012 recent earthquake. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture, Leila is originally from Haiti and so also speaks French and Creole. |
