CARRIE RESIDENCE - Trinidad, W.I.
Set on the steep slope of the island northern mountain range, the Carrie Residence is arranged on three levels which follow the existing contour terrain, minimizing its impact on the site. The floor plan breaks the masses into three distinct volumes creating opportunities for the natural site to envelop the space. And avid landscaper, the owner desires a home that lived among the nature of the land.
Two master bedrooms occupy the top floors of the East and West blocks with 3 guest bedrooms the central block. Below the livings spaces and outdoor terraces take full advantage of the long views to the South. On the lowest level are accommodation for maids quarters and kitchen facilitates.
Roof slopes collect rains water into underground cisterns for a year round source of potable water as well as grey water for services landscaping.
